Emilio Peralta enters his fifth season as the radio play-by-play of the Hornets in 2012-13. Peralta served as the color analyst of the New Orleans Saints in Spanish from 2007-2010 for WFNO-830AM. While in that role, he broadcasted Super Bowl XLIV. For WFNO-830AM, he co-hosted the daily sports show, Enfoque Deportivo from 2007-2010. He also is a columnist for Spanish sports newspaper, TodoSports. Prior to moving to New Orleans, Peralta worked for ESPN Deportes in Bristol, Ct. where he covered NBA games for ESPNDeportes.com and worked as a production assistant for ESPN International. While living in Miami, Peralta covered sports events for La Hora of Chile and Meridiano of Venezuela. Peralta became the first Latino to complete the CarolinaWeek program in order to earn a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina of Chapel Hill. Peralta and his wife, Katie, have two daughters, Teresa and Cecilia, and they live in Mandeville, LA.
David Lopez begins his third season as the radio color analyst of the Hornets in the 2012-13 season. He is also a sports writer for La Republica newspaper in New Orleans. A native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Lopez was selected to the Honduran youth national basketball team and played professional basketball in Honduras. Lopez is a soccer and tennis fan, cheering for Real Madrid and Rafael Nadal. Lopez and his wife, Tania, live in Kenner, La. with their two daughters, Daniela and Mia.
